Address proof: Aadhaar with Delhi Cantt area pincode (110010, 110023, 110028). For serving armed forces personnel, the unit-issued residence certificate is accepted alongside Aadhaar. For retired officers, the pension-pay-officer certificate works.
Service identity: Service ID card (Army, Navy, IAF) is accepted as primary photo ID. Family-of-officer cases bring the officer's service record and the family member's Aadhaar.
Name consistency: Aadhaar, Class 10 marksheet, and service record names must match. Service records use the official spelling — Aadhaar correction often needed for spouse cases.
Witnesses: Three witnesses each with original Aadhaar and second photo ID. Fellow serving officers commonly serve as witnesses; their service IDs work as secondary proof.

Avoid: Monday, first three working days of month, days adjacent to Republic Day / Independence Day (cantonment security heightened). Closed: Sundays, second Saturday, central holidays.
Three patterns we see consistently. First, the SDM staff is familiar with service ID documentation — they do not ask the kind of repetitive questions a civilian SDM would. Second, the office is inside the cantonment area, which is comfortable for serving officers in uniform after a morning parade. Third, the proximity to IGI Airport (under 30 minutes) makes this SDM convenient for NRI children of forces officers flying in for the registration.
