Best days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between 11 AM and 1 PM — lowest queue at both SDM Civil Lines and Tis Hazari. Acceptable: Friday morning, Saturday morning (except second Saturday). Avoid: Monday (weekend backlog at Tis Hazari is severe), first three working days of every month (auspicious-date crowd), days adjacent to public holidays. Closed: Sundays, second Saturday, all central holidays, Delhi-specific holidays like Janmashtami and Mahashivratri when declared.
Address proof: Aadhaar with Civil Lines / DU North Campus / Mall Road pincode. Out-of-jurisdiction needs registered rent agreement or recent utility bill from 30+ days ago. DU staff residence-quarter allotment letters are accepted as supplementary proof.
Name consistency: Aadhaar, Class 10 marksheet and marriage application names must match exactly. Discrepancies need a gazetted-officer name-equivalence affidavit — we draft these.
